IKEN UP PLUS

Complementary feed for medium and large dogs

Description
To compensate for increased nutritional needs in metabolic stress situations such as:
- challenging sports and fatigue conditions;
- surgery;
- protracted fasts;
- prolonged trauma and/or immobility;
- feverish and debilitating diseases;
- heart disease;
- liver failure and/or kidney failure;
- old and debilitated animals;
- animals with problems of regular increase, especially muscle.
PROPERTY
Stresses and emergency situations also pathological or paraphysiological determine particular metabolic conditions, with requirements in certain nutrients and micronutrients completely different from the norm, quantitatively very high and proportioned to the cause that caused them. Such requirements are difficult to compensate with normal feeding if not added with targeted integration. Not to compensate for these shortcomings can lead to reversible and even irreversible biological damage, surely leads to a recovery of the normal state in much longer times.
In the case of stress due to pathological situations a specific supplementation is necessary to compensate for the greater losses also the deficiencies due to a non-complete diet and to ensure the necessary efficiency to the immune system.
IKEN UP PLUS for medium and large dogs is formulated in appetable tablets; the flavourings contained in Iken Up Plus are made exclusively of high quality protein hydrolyses of suine origin, not allergenic (average molecular weight less than 1000 Dalton) and can be assumed by allergic subjects to animal proteins. IKEN UP PLUS is designed to make in adequate quantities all the factors that can be lacking in stress situations.
Branched essential amino acids: L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, L-Valine, determinants for the biosynthesis of proteins of muscle mass and heart muscle and primary energy source in stress both from stress and pathological, modulators of protein metabolism.
Amino acids with particular metabolic destinies:
- L-Arginine and DL-Metionine, for the synthesis of creatine, energy substrate of muscle contraction and physiological buffer;
- L-Lisina and DL-Metionina, for the synthesis of carnitine;
- DL-Methionine, amino acid methylante par excellence;- L-Alanine, amino acid glycogenetic;
- L-Arginine and L-Aspartic Acid, determining in the process of ammonia elimination.
- L-Carnitine, modulator of energy use, of fatty acids at heart and muscle level; to save protein and sugar consumption and prevent muscle tissue depletion and stress acidosis.
Vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12 and D-Pantotenic Acid, to compensate for increased consumption in stress and maintain intact and at adequate levels all coenzymatic systems that use such vitamins as prostetic groups, in particular Pantothenic Acid for Coenzyme A.
Antioxidants, full pool able to counter the oxidative stress of each origin: the different antioxidants are not always interreplaceable, therefore the total protection from the peroxidation of the cell constituents is carried out by their combined action, indispensable to neutralize the large amount of free radicals produced in stress on the formation sites and in the physiological situations in which they form.
- Primary antioxidants (or essential antioxidant enzymes): Dismutase superoxide and peroxidase Glutation (Selenium) eliminate free radicals on a continuous cycle.
- Secondary antioxidants: Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Octacosanolo, not renewable after they have completed their action, repair molecules damaged by oxidative processes.
- Vitamin C and Vitamin And they are also indispensable for their intrinsic vitamin action; their consumption is very high in stress situations.
Magnesium, Iron, Zinc To compensate for high losses and limit the consequences of deficiency.
- Magnesium: for cell homeostasis and to prevent neuromuscular reactive instability.
- Iron: to prevent the deficiency of cell enzymes essential to cell life and energy production.
- Zinc: to prevent the peroxidation of membrane phospholipids and maintain adequate levels of enzyme systems (more than seventy) to which it participates.

Mode of use
One tablet every 5 kg of animal weight once a day for the first week, then one tablet every 10 kg of animal weight once a day for at least one week. Depending on the extent of stress, the daily amount and the period of use can be modified in the judgment of the Veterinary Doctor.
Tablets are welcome to animals: can be administered directly or shredded into a bit of welcome food.
Tablets are divided into four parts to facilitate adjustment to weight: place the tablet on a flat surface with the side bearing the fracture lines facing upwards; exercise with the thumb a pressure at the center of the tablet to obtain the division in 4 quarters.
The indicated quantities guarantee the maximum content of each additive in the daily ration.
