TIOCALMIN

active ingredients

100 ml of syrup contain: Active ingredients: potassium sulphonate 1.2 g; dropropizine 0.1 g Excipient with known effect: sucrose, ethanol and p-hydroxybenzoate. For the full list of excipients, see paragraph 6.1.

The excipients are: sucrose, ethanol, sweet orange essence aroma, monohydrate citric acid, p-hydroxybenzoate methyl, purified water.

Therapeutic indications

Syntomatic treatment in coughs of any nature, irritative cough and smoking cough.

Contraindications

- Hypersensitivity to active ingredients or any of the excipients listed in paragraph 6.1. - Pregnancy - Diabetes.

Population

Children: 1 tablespoon 2 times a day Adults: 1 tablespoon from 2 to 4 times a day How to take such as or diluted in the preferred drink (hot or cold) preferably far from meals.

Warnings

Do not exceed the recommended doses. After a short period of treatment without appreciable results consult your doctor. This medicinal product contains sucrose: patients with rare hereditary problems of fructose intolerance, glucose-galactosis mal absorption, or sucrasis-isomaltasis failure, should not take this medicine. A dose (1 tablespoon) of this drug administered to a child aged 2 years (12 kg) would result in an exposure to 346 mg/kg of ethanol which can cause an increase in blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of about 4.8 mg/100 ml. Co-administration with medicines containing propylene glycol or ethanol can lead to the accumulation of ethanol and induce adverse effects, especially in small children with low metabolic activity or immature.

We do not recommend the use of the product during breastfeeding.
