Information before use
- Cleaning and conservation:
Please make sure the sensor is clean to ensure accurate measurements.
The sensor is the most delicate part of the thermometer. Pay attention when cleaning the sensor to avoid damage.
a. Use funnels of alcohol or cotton fioc moistened with alcohol at 70% ÷ 75% to clean the sensor.
b. Dry the sensor for at least 1 minute.
c. Keep the product dry and away from liquids or direct sunlight.
d. Storage temperature: must be kept under the following conditions -20÷+50°C, RH≤85%.
e. The sensor should not be immersed in liquids.
Keeping the thermometer in hand too long could cause a higher ambient temperature detection than the real.
This could make the body temperature measurement lower than it actually is.
- Replacement of batteries:
When the battery icon shows that the battery charge is exhausted, the batteries must be immediately replaced with two AAA batteries.
1. Open the battery cover: use your thumb to push out the battery compartment cover.
2. Insert the two AAA batteries.
3. Reposition the battery compartment cover.
Body temperature measurement
Press the "ON/MEM" button to turn on the device. The front mode is the default mode. The icon appears on the display and two beeps are issued. In this mode, the thermometer must be kept at a distance of 4 cm from the middle of the front and press the "AVVIO" button to obtain the front measurement. The time required for measuring is 1 second. After each front measurement, wait for the icon to stop flashing before the next measurement.
Attention points:
a) The front temperature is displayed in oral mode, i.e. the temperature of the front is converted and its "equivalent oral" value is displayed.
b) Before measuring, the subject must remain in the same environment for 5 minutes and avoid exercise and bathing in the previous 30 minutes.
c) The area of the front must be clean and sweat-free, cosmetics and scars during temperature measurement.
a. Clinical Bias -1,4÷-1,7°C.
b. Limits of concordance 0,98.
c. Repeatability 0.20°C.
Cleaning and disinfection
For domestic disinfection of the appliance, use alcohol (ethanol or isopropyl alcohol) concentrated to 70%, available in the pharmacy.
Clean the sensor for measurement after each use. Use a clean cloth or an ovate stick filled with 70% concentrated alcohol.
For cleaning the whole appliance, use a soft cloth slightly moistened with a delicate soapy solution. Avoid infiltration of liquids within the appliance. Do not reuse it until it is completely dry.
Warnings
EMC Directive:
1) THD2FE requires special precautions relating to electromagnetic fields and must be installed and put into service in accordance with the information on the EMC supplied in the manual.
2) Mobile and portable RF communication devices can affect THD2FE.
3) Wireless communication devices, such as wireless home network devices, mobile phones, wireless phones and their bases and portable transceivers, must be kept at a minimum distance of d=0,5 m from the appliance. The distance d is calculated by the manufacturer in the frequency band from 800 MHz to 2,7 GHz according to the standard IEC 60601-1-2:2015 for electromedical devices at an immunity level of 10 V/m).
The materials used for packaging and inks used are certified as atoxic.
