Corn starch is a precious ingredient to give softness and lightness to sweets.
The sweets prepared with this product acquire, in addition to a soft consistency, a very delicate taste, that it is not possible to obtain with the only use of other flours.
The product is an ideal ingredient also to thicken in a few minutes sauces, wet, braised and soups; its neutral taste, in fact, does not cover the characteristic taste of food.
Without gluten.
How to use
Cakes and desserts: use half dose of maizena corn starch and half dose of flour (for the preparation of particularly friable desserts, use two-thirds of Maizena corn starch and a third of flour).
Budini and creams: replace the dose of flour provided by the recipe with the same amount of maizena corn starch.
Sauces and wets: dissolve a satin spoon of cornstarch Maizena in 50 ml cold liquid (water, milk or broth) to bind about 200 g of sauce.
Minestre: dissolve a satin spoon of cornstarch Maizena in 50 ml of water to bind about 500 g of preparation.
The product should be added at the end of cooking to the dish in preparation.
Do not extend cooking because it is enough a few minutes.
For an easier dosage: a satin spoon of product corresponds to 10 g of product.
Conservation
