Description
LSC MicroCaps Sodium Butirrate Slow Release - EU patent 2352386. Food for special medical purposes based on microencapsulated sodium butirrate. The patented microcapsul formulation with barrier-effect LSC technology is used because sodium butyrate is a very active molecule but with a high degree of dissociation (pKa 4,82), which without protection would not reach the colon/rect. Indicated for the dietary treatment of subjects affected by colonopathy with altered trophism of intestinal mucosa, it can be used in case of:
- diarrhea;
- irritable colon;
- diverticular disease;
- inflammatory bowel diseases;
- radiation proctiti.

Microencapsulated sodium Butirrate (hydrated palm oil, sodium butyrate; charge agent: E516; aromas; coating agent: E477), vegetable capsule (coating agent: E464; coloring: E171).

Mode of use
Take 1-3 capsules per day (for a maximum of 6 capsules per day) close to meals, in case of difficulty swallowing you can open the capsule and assume the content by dispersing it in drinks or semi-solid foods (water, milk, juices, yogurt, soups, etc.). Do not cook it and do not expose it to temperatures above 40°/45°C so as not to alter the patented protection of sodium butyrate. There are no time limits to the duration of treatment.

Contraindications
No known phenomena of hypersensitivity or interaction with other medicines. In case of adverse symptoms consult your doctor.
The product must be used under medical supervision. It is not suitable for use as the only source of nutrition. Keep out of reach of children.

Conservation
Store in a cool and dry place, at a temperature below 25°C, sheltered from heat sources and direct sunlight.
Validity of whole packaging: 60 months.
Valid after the first opening: 12 months.
