The Liquiriza of Calabria (Glycyrrhiza glabra) is commonly called "The Princess of Calabria". Known for centuries to be among the best licorices in the world, it has always been disputed among the merchants of the nineteenth century as rare and precious goods. The connoisseurs worship her as a sweet "reliquia".
It is in the root that conceals the secret of the Princess of Calabria. The reciprocal influence between the plant and the environment has led to the formation of a unique variety of licorice appreciated worldwide for its characteristics not found in any other plant of different origin.
