Description
Medical device CE 0086, class I sterile.
Hydrophilic urinary catheter, disposable, self-lubricating, for intermittent catheterism. The surface of the catheter is made with Urotonic Surface Technology: the combination of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and salt (NaCl) combined with the addition of water, makes the coating of the isotonic LoFric catheter with urine, after activation. Sterilized with ethylene oxide.
All LoFric catheters can be connected to standard bags for urine collection.
Benefits
- Activation: Urotonic Surface Technology reduces friction during catheterism, ensures comfort and reduces the risks of complications in the long term
- Atraumatic drainage side holes for better comfort
- Adhesive part to hang the package to any dry and clean surface
- PVC free: the POBE, polyolefin elastomer, has a low environmental impact during the entire life cycle1
- DEHP free: no risk of loss of plasticizers
- LATEX free: no risk of allergic reaction to latex
Manufacture materials
Catheter material (including connectors): polyolefin elastomer (POBE).
Coating material: polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and salt (NaCl).
All materials used are non-toxic, medical and biocompatible materials. Without PVC, DEHP and latex.
Warnings
The LoFric catheter is disposable. Once used the exclusive surface coating deteriorates and the catheter is no longer sterile. The risks associated with reuse may be: increased adherence, pain, bleeding, urinary tract infections and long-term stenosis and epididymites.
Conservation
Store at room temperature, in a dry place.
Deadline for storage from the date of production, in integral packaging: 42 months.
Format
Box containing 30 catheters. Each catheter is packaged in single blister consisting of plastic paper, polypropylene film (PP) and polyethylene (PE).
