Description
Esteem+ Soft Convex is a one piece matt disposable colostomy collection device. The bag adheres to the skin by means of an adhesive hydrocolloidal barrier with differentiated thickness.
The convex structure of the barrier allows to manage misplaced and introflected stomies compared to the skin surface.
The bag is equipped with a filter and is mainly suitable for cholostomized patients who want a safe and easy to apply and remove device.
The predisposition for attaching to the abdominal belt allows to guarantee greater safety of adherence of the sack. The bag, through a window opening on the outside, allows to monitor the correct positioning and to control the stomy when necessary during use.

Technical information
The hydrocolloid cutaneous barrier (mesh of cabossimethylcellulose, pectin and polyisobusene) contains a 4 mm deep convex insert.
The hydrocolloid has a differentiated thickness and is covered on the adhesive surface by a transparent protective paper, easily identifiable and removable thanks to a tab.
A circular cut-out guide on the protective paper facilitates the preparation of the device.
The bag is equipped with an active carbon filter that allows the outflow and deodoration of intestinal gas.
The bag is covered with a soft TNT teline welded on the margins. The coating is present on both sides of the bag. On the outside side the tile has an inspection window.
At the base of the skin barrier are soft rings made of plastic material for attaching to the abdominal belt to be added to the need.
The identification code is printed on the bag.
Adhesive surface: diameter 110 mm.
Size: 145x205 mm.

Mode of use
Clean the skin around the stoma with water and dry with a soft cloth.
Make sure the skin is dry. Do not use oil-based products for detersion because they may compromise the adherence of the skin barrier.
Make sure you know the diameter of the stomia.
Esteem+ Soft Convex is available in pre-cut and cut-out version in different sizes. If the bag is not precut you can use the cut-out guide on the barrier if available.
It is very important that the adhesive barrier hole be customized to the measurement of the stomy. Cut the opening hole of the barrier so as to reproduce the same diameter of the stomia or just larger.
Enter the inside of the bag a small amount of air to separate the layers. Heat the barrier by holding it in your hands for a few seconds to facilitate accession.
Remove the plastic film on the back of the skin barrier. Avoid touching the adhesive area too much with your fingers.
Place the skin barrier below the stoma. Starting from the bottom, let the barrier adhere to the peristomal skin.
Explain the adhesive surface with your fingers making a slight pressure around the stoma.
To remove the bag gently detach the adhesive barrier from the top down.
At the same time hold the free hand placed on the skin above the barrier.
This operation helps to avoid irritating the skin and facilitates removal.
Empty the contents of the sack in the toilet.

Warnings
The device is disposable and cannot be reused. Reusing it could cause infections or crusade contamination. The device may not have the same effectiveness in case of reuse.
In case of use of a cropable product, make sure that the prepared hole is not too large. Blank spaces can cause irritation and redness of the skin. Be careful not to enlarge the size of the opening hole beyond the last circle drawn on the cut-out guide of the barrier or on the edge leaving exposed the internal plastic of the convex disc.
Don't throw the bag in the toilet.

The need for use of a convex device must be assessed by a healthcare provider.

Conservation
Deadline for storage from the date of production, in integral packaging: 60 months.

Format
Each pack contains 30 pockets and 30 sticker bubbles cover-filter.
