Description
A syringe medical device that allows to perform, through its nebulization action, the washes of nasal cavities of patients (borns, children and adults) with physiological solution to prevent or support the treatment of congestion of the upper airways.
Specially designed for the nose of babies and children to nebulize the physiological solution continuously and not invasive, allowing a delicate and complete nasal wash.
Indicated for:
• daily cleaning of nasal cavities;
• help correct and free breathing by facilitating nose blowing;
• facilitate an easy aspiration of mucus in infants;
• indirectly avoid the spread of ear infection;
• keep the nasal ducts clean and free and avoid the occurrence of colds;
• restore the natural moisture of the nasal mucous membranes in case of dryness and encrustations.
Manufactured with non-toxic materials and colours, it is without phthalates and disphenol.
Tested for biocompatibility to nasal mucosa according to the norm 10993:1.

Mode of use
Take the physiological solution through a 2.5 ml or 5 ml syringe. In case of needle syringes, remove the needle before assembling with the FIORDINASO device.
Plug the FIORDINASO device onto the syringe. Gently insert the soft end of FIORDINASO into a nostril, so that the petals touch the edge, then press the syringe piston to the bottom to activate the nebulization of the physiological solution.
In infants and children under 3 years of age use a 2.5 ml syringe and perform the operation taking care to lie the child on a fig, with the head reclined on the side, and inserting FIORDINASO into the upper nostril.
In children and adults, it is recommended to hold the envelope forward and tilt the head laterally, inserting the nasal adaptor in the nostril opposite to the inclination direction.
Repeat the solution and nebulization process in the other nostril. During and after treatment, the physiological solution could drip from the nose.
After the nebulization, follow the indications given in the section "Pulizia" to store and store the device safely.

For the pediatric application (born and children) follow the indications of your pediatrician.
Washing in adults can be done in need. In case of doubt, ask your doctor.

Cleaning:
At the end of each use, remove the soft nasal adapter from the main body and wash its parts under running water, with neutral soap.
Completely fill the syringe used with running water, then apply the main body FIORDINASO and spray all the water. Repeat the operation 2-3 times to free the device from any salt residue.
Rinse both the main body of FIORDINASO and syringe with running water, taking care to extract the piston from the syringe body for cleaning.
Finally let dry and then assemble the various components.

Warnings
Use the device only in accordance with the specified uses.
Use the 2.5 ml syringe on infants and children (using 2.5 ml per nostril) and 5 ml on adults (using 5 ml per nostril).
Store the product away from moisture, heat and light sources.
Before any use, check that the components are not damaged and that the nebulization hole is free from impediments. In case of damage or obstruction, do not use the device.
FIORDINASO is intended to be used by the individual patient for multiple nebulizations. For hygienic reasons, follow the indications of the paragraph "Pulizia".
Once the package is opened, it is recommended to replace FIORDINASO every 12 months, unless the nebulization capacity is less than this time.
Put FIORDINASO in a dry place after cleaning operations and in the time frame where it is not used. Always store the package on which the lot number is reported.
The product contains small parts. Small parts, if swallowed, could block the respiratory tract and cause a risk of suffocation. Make sure to keep the product out of reach and view of babies and children.
In the event that any serious accident occurs in relation to the device, immediately notify the manufacturer and the competent authority of the Member State in which the user and/or the patient is established.
For proper nebulization of the physiological solution, it is recommended to apply a sufficient pressure on the syringe to avoid a coarse nebulization or drops.
The device is intended to be used by adult patients independently. Patients in pediatric age and persons with limited abilities (e.g. sensory, physical, mental) must be supervised during use by a person responsible for their safety.
Do not use in case of ongoing or just completed epistassi.
Do not use in infants who have less than 1 month of life.

Conservation
Store at room temperature (0-55 °C), sheltered from light, in a dry place and away from heat sources. Don't freeze.
Do not use the product after the expiry date shown on the packaging. The expiry date refers to the intact and properly preserved product.
Do not use if the packaging or its parts are not intact.
Do not disperse the various components in the environment after use.
Keep away from the reach of children.
