Food supplement containing per capsule: 70 mg of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) and 140 mg of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), head of the omega-3 family, is an essential fatty acid that the human organism is not able to produce. As a result, a proper supply with the diet is the only source to take it and start the biosynthesis of the family of omega-3 fatty acids, precursors of lipids to anti-inflammatory activities. Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) is a semi-essential omega-6 fatty acid, from which the gamma-linolenic diomer (DGLA) precursor of prostaglandine of the series 1 (PGE1 - anti-inflammatory prostaglandine); GLA is poorly present in foods of the usual diet, while it is present in some plants, such as borage. The biological activity of GLA is well documented in scientific literature for the hydration and elasticity of the dermis. The formulation with gamma and alpha-linolenic acids provides the balance between omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids and omega-3 to meet the need for replacement and formation of cell membranes for all types of tissue, as well as formation of lipid mediators involved in inflammatory and anti-inflammatory phenomena, modulation of the immune response and trophism of the skin tissue. This budget, depending on the lifestyle adopted and the conditions of exposure to different agents (smoke, drugs, light) or in the case of excess radical stress, can be compromised.
OmegaControl has a ratio of 2:1 between the two omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids, gamma-linolenic and alpha-inolenic, to be taken in case of failure from the diet. Its ingredients act on the modulation of the pro and anti-inflammatory falls, also involved in the immune response, for the natural balance of the cell membrane and the cutaneous trophism, keeping under control the level of free radicals.
Vitamin C contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system and the immune system as well as to the reduction of fatigue and fatigue; to normal collagen formation for normal skin function. It also contributes to the regeneration of the reduced form of vitamin E. Vitamin C and E contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Borage oil contributes to the integrity and functionality of cell membranes, trophism and skin functionality (astaxanthin is an antioxidant).
