Coconut oil

Description
Food supplement based on coconut oil and vitamin E. Coconut oil carries out a support and restoring action and promotes the trophism of the skin. Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. It is obtained by simple cold pressing from the pulp of the coconut, without the use of solvents. It is free of preservatives, free GMOs and not irradiated. At room temperature it has the consistency of a butter and melts at about 24-26 degrees.
It is an oil containing lauric acid, myristic acid, caprilic acid, caprinic acid, oleic acid, palmitic acid and stearic acid and linoleic and is very rich in polyphenols including gallic acid, ferulic acid, Quercetin, methyl catechina. These fatty acids represent a highly available source of energy, since they are a medium chain that is easier to absorb than long-chain animal.

Property
Coconut oil does not negatively affect cholesterol levels, because it is poor in long-chain saturated fatty acids, but it is actually shown that it helps lower LDL bad cholesterol levels and promote the good HDL by reducing cardiovascular risk. Improves the antioxidant state of the liver and renal state by modulating the values of creatinine, sodium, potassium, alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase and alkaline phosphatease. It also has a certain thermogenic effect, since its fatty acids are easily converted into energy instead of being stored in the form of adipe. It also has a positive effect on the microbiome by increasing the amount of Lattobacilli and Bifidobacteria and has an anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic action.
Medium chain fatty acids are easily metabolized by the liver and converted into ketones that act as an important source of energy for the brain. In particular, it has been seen that this oil improves cognitive functions in case of Alzheimer. It has also been shown that it reduces stress.
Its fatty acids are also important for immune defenses. Lauric acid is useful in countering viruses such as HIV, influenza and herpes; capricious acid reacts with some enzymes secreted by other bacteria, which subsequently converts it into a powerful antimicrobial agent, monocaprino; caprilic acid is a powerful antifungal against candida.
It is also widely used in cosmetics for strong nutrient and seborestive properties, especially suitable for sensitive and dehydrated skins.
