UrgoClean

Description
Non-woven, absorbent and gelling, polyacrylate-absorbing fibers that ensure a complete detersion and debridement action (from slough, fibrin and exudated) and a TLC colloidal lipid matrix that ensures a removal of pain-free and atraumatic treatment for injury.
Medication composed entirely of poly-absorbent polyacrylate fibers, detergents and gelling agents, and a TLC micro-adhesive matrix (TLC: Lipido-Colloidal technology, composed of carboxyethylcellulose particles, lipid substances). The acrylic core present in polyacrylate fibers allows a removal of the dressing in a piece.
UrgoClean has the ability to cleanse and maintain the deterred lesion.
The TLC matrix forms a gel when it comes into contact with injury, creating a humid environment favorable to healing.
At the same time, the poly-absorbent fibers gel, absorb the exudate and bind to the fibrine and slough through an electrostatic interaction, facilitating the removal. UrgoClean absorbs fluids without maceration, protecting the perilesional skin.
In addition, poly-absorbent fibers make the highly cohesive dressing, which together with the TLC matrix allow a removal of painless dressing, in a single piece, and atraumatic for injury1. Its composition gives the medicine hemostatic properties.
Indicated for the phase of desloughing exudatory chronic injuries, acute injuries and carcinogenic injuries.

Mode of use
Medication UrgoClean
Determine the lesion using the conventional treatment protocol, then rinse with normal physiological solution.
If an antiseptic is used first, carefully rinse the lesion with physiological solution before applying UrgoClean.
The use of UrgoClean does not leave the need for a mechanical operation when required.
Remove protective tabs.
Apply the micro-adhesive side of UrgoClean in contact with the injury and its irregular angles.
UrgoClean can be cut using sterile scissors to adapt the size of the dressing to the injury if necessary.
Cover UrgoClean with a secondary dressing appropriate to the position and exudate of the injury. If prescribed, apply compressed therapy.
UrgoClean can be changed every 1-2 days during desloughing and then when necessary up to 7 days depending on the volume of the exudate and the clinical conditions of the injury.
UrgoClean tape Medication
Determine the lesion using the conventional treatment protocol, then rinse with normal physiological solution.
If an antiseptic is used first, carefully rinse the lesion with physiological solution before applying UrgoClean tape.
The use of UrgoClean tape dressing does not leave the need for a mechanical operation when required.
Open the enclosure.
If necessary use the probe to evaluate the depth of the lesion.
Minimize the use of the probe in the wound and do not leave it inside the wound.
UrgoClean tape dressing can be cut using sterile scissors to adapt the length of the dressing to the lesion depth. In case of a poorly exudatory injury, it may be necessary to moisten the dressing with physiological solution.
Check that the UrgoClean tape dressing is visible and easy to remove from the cavity.
Cover the UrgoClean tape dressing with a secondary dressing adapted to the position and exudate of the injury.
UrgoClean tape can be changed every 1-2 days during desloughing and then when necessary up to 7 days depending on the volume of the exudate and the clinical conditions of the injury.

Warnings
- Do not use in case of a known sensitivity to UrgoClean.
- Do not use UrgoClean as a surgical sponge for injuries that bleeding a lot.
- Do not use UrgoClean tape dressing in fistulas of diameter less than that of the probe.
