HYDROFIBER MEDICINALING

Useful to treat:
- wounds with presence of infection or with high risk of infection;
- partial thickness burns (second degree);
- diabetic ulcers of the feet, ulcers of the lower limbs (ulcere from venous stasis, arterial ulcers and ulcers of the lower limbs to mixed etiology), and ulcers/piages from decubitate (to a partial or total thickness);
- surgical wounds;
- traumatic injuries;
- wounds that tend to bleed, such as wounds that have been cleaned mechanically or surgically;
- carcinogenic exudatory, such as skin fungoid tumors, vegetating carcinomas, skin metastases, Kaposi sarcomas and angiosarcomas.

Mode of use
For partial thickness burns (second degree): before applying the dressing, clean the wound area with an appropriate product.
The dressing should cover for at least 5 cm the skin surrounding the burn or another adjacent dressing and should be covered with a sterile absorbent tablet and fixed with a patch or with a retention bandage.
Periodically remove cover dressing and check the dressing while it is placed on the burned surface.
For dry wounds: place the dressing on the wound and moisten it with sterile saline solution only in the area above the wound.
Vertical absorption properties help keep the area above the wound humid and reduce the risk of maceration.
Cover the dressing with another dressing that can maintain moisture, to avoid drying the wound and the subsequent adhesion of the dressing to the wound itself.

Description
Soft, sterile, in a compressed or non-woven and compact pad consisting of Hydrofiber and ionic silver.
The silver contained in the dressing kills a wide spectrum of bacteria contaminating the wound and helps create an appropriate antimicrobial environment.
This dressing absorbs a considerable amount of injury and bacteria exudate and forms a soft and cohesive gel that completely conforms to the wound surface; maintains a damp environment and helps remove the devitalized tissue from the wound (autolytic sprinkling).
A damp wound environment and bacteria control that contaminate it facilitate the healing process and help reduce the risk of injury infection.

Contraindications
It should not be hanged in people with hypersensitivity or having an allergic reaction to silver or sodium carboxyethylcellulose.

Warnings
Disposable.
Sterility is guaranteed unless the packaging has been damaged or opened before use.
Do not use in case of damage of the package.
Following sterilization processes, a slight smell may be found at the time of opening the packaging.
During the normal healing process, the devitalized tissue is removed from the wound (autolytic sprinkling), which can initially make the wound look larger.
In case of difficulty in removing the dressing, it is appropriate to bathe it with water or sterile saline solution until it is easily removed.
Since the product creates a damp environment that facilitates neo-Angiogenesis, the fragile neo-vases can occasionally produce the appearance of hematous patches in the excessed wound.
It is not compatible with oil products, such as petroleum.
Adequate support measures must be taken when indicated (e.g. use of graduated compression in the treatment of venous ulcers of the lower limbs, or use of decompressive measures in the treatment of decubitate ulcers, systemic antibiotics and frequent monitoring in the treatment of infected wounds, reduction and control of blood glucose in case of diabetic ulcers, etc.)
Store at room temperature (10°C - 25°C/50°F - 77°F).
Store in a dry place.
