DESCRIPTION
- Non-occlusive, non-adhesive, non-adhesive and antibacterial contact layer (from Lipido-Colloidal Technology, exclusive patented innovation by Laboratoires Urgo).
COMPOSITION
UrgoTul Ag/Silver is a lipid-collaidal dressing consisting of a polyester mesh impregnated with lipidocolloid particles (Carbossimetilcellulose), vaseline particles and silver ions.
EXTERNALITY
Ionizing radiation.
PROPERTY
- Silver ions perform a bactericidal action on most microorganisms involved in secondary infections: gram-positive (MRSA, Staphylococcus Aureusà), gram-negative (Pseudomonas Aeruginosaà) and yeasts.
- In contact with the exodus of the lesion, the hydrocolloid particles of the product, form a lipid-colloidal gel and create a humid environment favorable to the healing process.
- Silver ions are incorporated into this lipid-colloidal gel, performing antibacterial activity only in the area in contact with lesion.
- For its composition it does not adhere to the injury or the surrounding skin. The removal of the dressing is painless and atraumatic for injury.
- It's flexible and comfortable.
INDICATIONS
- Indicated for the local treatment of acute lesions recently to moderately exudatory and chronic lesions at risk of infection or with signs of local infection.
STRUCTURES
- Determine the injury with saline solution.
- If an antiseptic was previously used, rinse thoroughly the injury with saline solution before applying the product.
- Remove protective transparent film from the dressing.
- Apply directly to the injury. If necessary, it can be cut using sterile scissors to adapt the size of the dressing to the injury.
- Cover with a secondary dressing.
- Apply a compressed bandage when prescribed.
PRECAUTIONS
- Treatment with the product must be performed under medical control.
- Avoid contact with electrodes or conductive gels used in case of EEG or ECG.
- Can adhere to latex surgical gloves. Therefore it is recommended to moisten the gloves with normal saline solution to keep the dressing more easily.
- In the absence of any specific clinical data, it is not recommended to use pregnant women or during breastfeeding, infants or premature children.
- Single disposable packaging: reuse a disposable dressing could expose at risk of infection.
- Don't resterilize.
CONTRACTS
- Hypersensitivity to silver and other components of dressing.
- Do not use on patients subjected to Magnetic Resonance (MRI).
