Description
Two-layer compression system designed to achieve continuous therapeutic compression.
It contains a compressed padded bandage, a cohesive elastic bandage with short extensibility for a strong compression, both latex free and a stocking.
Both bandages have been designed to be applied together and get a comfortable and non-slip system during use.
The padded bandage is a soft, delicate bandage on the skin and conformable with a slight cohesive effect that redistributes the pressure to avoid injury to bone prominences. It applies with a minimum voltage, similar to any padded bandage (over 50%), offering a slight compression to the ankle. The cohesive bandage with short extensibility ensures adequate therapeutic compression.
Applying tension to the bandage until the indicators printed on the bandage do not turn into a square, it is easy to apply with constancy the pressure provided by the operator. The bandages are printed with the inscription STRONG and the number 40 to facilitate the overlap on both the right leg and the left leg, and obtain different pressures as determined by the healthcare operator.
If you apply a 50% overlap in correspondence 40, you will get a 40 mmHg pressure resting in the ankle. If you need more pressure, a 66% (2/3) overlap will be applied in accordance with the STRONG writing and you will get a 60 mmHg pressure resting in the ankle.
The cohesive bandage of the second layer and the applied tension ensure a compression for 7 days, ensuring the effectiveness of the treatment and offering a better quality of life to the patient. The frequency of change of the compression system will depend on the conditions of the wound and the evaluation of the healthcare operator.
The stocking prevents wrinkles and/or folds in the cohesive elastic bandage, protects from friction when walking between one leg and the other, makes it easier to wear and remove the shoes and helps the bandage not to stick to sheets or other garments.
CPK Compress-2 is indicated for treating venous ulcers of the lower limb with ankle circumferences between 18-25 cm and 25-32 cm, lymphatic edema and other clinical conditions in which compression is appropriate.
The compression system is neither designed nor suitable for use other than intended use.

Components
The padding Benda (first layer) consists of:
• 100% polyester white fabric;
• Microperforated transparent polypropylene bag.

The cohesive elastic band (second layer) consists of:
• Stretch brown fabric longitudinally 100% cotton;
• Latex-free cohesive mass in the form of a thin layer evenly on the entire surface of the band;
• Carton centre;
• Polypropylene bag transparent micro perforated.

100% polyamide preformed shoe.

Warnings
Contraindicated in case of:
- uncompensated heart failure;
- aseptic phlebititis;
- advanced diabetic microangiopathy;
- Phlegmasia cerúlea dolens;
- severe occlusive arteriopathy in patients with an arm-carriage blood pressure index (ABI) below 0.8;
- hypersensitivity known to any of the components materials.
Measure the circumference of the ankle to confirm that it is greater than 18 cm or 25 cm (padded). Make sure the correct kit is applied.
Always apply under the supervision of a healthcare provider. It is recommended to have adequate training for the correct application of the compression system. Make sure that the patient's ankle-arm pressure index is greater than 0.8 before applying the compression system.
Patients with arterial insufficiency note, uncompensated heart failure or advanced diabetic microangiopathy may not tolerate compression. It must be used only on prescription, with careful monitoring and after appropriate treatment.
Excessive compression can affect circulation. The application area must be frequently monitored for signs of discoloration, pain, numbness, tingling or other changes in feeling and swelling. If these symptoms appear, the patient must immediately remove the bandage and inform the healthcare provider. If the patient initially does not tolerate full compression, the cohesive bandage can also be applied with a lower voltage leading to a lower compression.
Before applying, you must perform the usual diagnostic tests.
The wounds must be cleaned and covered with appropriate medications under their conditions.
Consult current international guidelines and local regulations on infection control.
If the compression system gets wet, loosens or no longer fits the shape of the banded area, it should be changed.
Don't reuse. Reuse can compromise product integrity or cause product ineffectiveness.
Any serious product incident must be reported to the manufacturer and competent authority of the Member State in which the user and/or the patient are established.

Conservation
Store in a cool place (between 5 °C and 30 °C), in its original container.
