Bionect Start

Fluid ointment by topical application containing hyaluronic acid salt sodium by bacterial fermentation, as a main component, and bacterial collagenase obtained by Vibrio alginolyticus as an integrated medicinal substance. As part of the preparation phase of the wound bed, Bionect Start promotes the healing process and protects the neo-formed tissue thanks to the moisturizing action of the hyaluronic aido. In fact, the process of healing lesions takes place more quickly in a humid environment. Bacterial collagensis promotes the preparation of the wound bed.
Indicated for the local treatment of chronic ulcers with necrotic or fibrinous tissue (i.e. decubitate sores, vascular ulcers of the legs, diabetic ulcers), of which it favors the rapidity. In particular it is indicated to provide an optimal damp environment and a preparation of the wound bed that facilitate the natural healing process.

Components
Main component: hyaluronic acid salt 0.2%. Other components: collagenase (not less than 2.0 nkat/g of ointment¹), light liquid paraffin, white vaseline.

Mode of use
The lesions must be cleaned and disinfected before the application. To ensure the success of the treatment, sufficient humidity must be present on the lesion area. Dry lesions must be moistened with physiological solution (0.9% NaCl) or with well tolerated solutions from the tissue, such as glucosated solution. Hard bait should be softened by applying a wet bandage. Apply a layer of about 2 mm BIONECT® START on the wound once a day or according to the opinion of the health personnel. Cover the treated area with a sterile bandage to ensure proper contact.

Pregnancy and nursing
Bionect Start can be used during pregnancy and nursing according to medical indication.

Contraindications
Bionect Start should not be used in patients with individual hypersensitivity to product components.

Warnings and precautions
It is recommended not to extend the use of the product over 30 days. In case of manifest signs of infection consult the doctor for the eventual establishment of a treatment with antibiotics. Tetracyclines should not be used locally with Bionect Start. Do not use the product along with soaps/ detergents, disinfectants based on quaternary ammonium salts, silver and other heavy metals, which can reduce the action. Ask the pharmacist or physician what products to use. Do not use on cartilage fabric and exposed curtain. Avoid contact with eyes and mucosa. In case of accidental ingestion or inhalation, consult your doctor immediately. Avoid direct contact of the container with the wound. Close the container after each application. Keep the product out of reach of children.

Undesirable effects
Local side effects such as pain, itching, burning and erythema may occur. Undesirable effects of systemic type cannot be excluded in patients with proven hypersensitivity to the product components.

Conservation
Store at temperature not exceeding 30°C.
Do not use in case of damaged packaging. The product can be used up to 36 months after the first opening of the pipe. Do not use the product after the expiration date shown on the packaging. The expiry date refers to the correctly stored product. After use eliminate according to the national norms in force.
