Medical device CE. Self-adhesive occlusor used in the orthotic therapies of ambliopia and strabism.
• Collant: hypoallergenic adhesive free of natural rubber latex and solvent free indicated for the particularly delicate and sensitive skin of children. The detachment is comfortable and prevents trauma even in cases of prolonged use.
• Support in nonwoven white and leather. The shape of the occlusor is optimally adapted to the anatomy of the periocular area.
• Central roof composed of a very thin trilaminate material inside which there is a photo-absorbent black screen that prevents the filtration of light from the outside.
• Shape: the shape of the patch is elongated in the area of adhesion to the nasal saddle and allows the correct portability of the glasses simultaneously to the occlusor. The eyelet is well aligned, avoiding out of focus and comfort for the patient. The elongated shape of the plaster avoids the lateral filtration of the light. This attribute of ORTOPAD prevents abnormal movement of the eye muscles that can cause worsening of the pathology. Engravings in the nasal sect adhesion zone effectively prevent the formation of wrinkles on the plaster that could determine a premature detachment of the occlusor and a reduction of comfort during orthoptic therapy.
