Description
Medical device used for home treatment of eye disorders due to blephate (inflammation of the eyelid margin), dysfunctions of the glands of Meibomio (blocking or functional alteration of the glands of Meibomio), orzaiol and calatium.
The self-heating eye mask ensures a quick and lasting relief from the disturbances due to the instability of the lacrimal film, such as dryness, fatigue, burning or excessive eye tearing.
After being activated by the snap of the metal discs, the eye mask warms up to a suitable and constant temperature. The heat produced by the gel contained in the mask heats the ovatta disks creating a warm and delicate steam that is distributed evenly on the eye contour.
Wet heat:
- unlocks the ducts of the Meibomio glands by gently softening the hardened secretions and favoring the expulsion thanks to massage movements on the eyelids. The ducts of the clean and pervious Meibomio glands normally distribute lipids making the lacrimal film more stable.
- softens the crusts present on the eyelid margin by facilitating the elimination and reducing the risk of loss of eyelashes. Heat improves blood spraying of the eyes by accelerating the healing process of orzaiol and squid.

Mode of use
Remove the bag and throw it into the trash. If the bag was unintentionally broken, first clean the mask thoroughly as by instructions.
Wash your hands with soap and water before and after every use. Remove any contact lenses and rub your eyes. Do not use makeup, creams or lotions while wearing the mask. Apply any creams or collieries medicated only after removing it.
The eye mask is ready for use when the orange content is liquid. If the content still has a solid consistency, similar to that of ice, follow the instructions to boil it and make it ready for use.
The use of the eye mask together with ovatta disks ensures a humid and pleasant temperature. Use new and clean ovatta disks for each treatment (not included).

Before any use check that the mask does not present any damage or signs of losses. Do not use the mask if it is damaged.
Make sure that lighting is enough and wear glasses if necessary.
The orange gel in the special bag must be liquid (soft and flexible). If the mask is as hard as ice, follow the instructions for boiling.
Moisten two ovat disks with tap water. Insert them in such a way that the ovat disks are exactly in front of the oval windows. Close the pressure button of the eye mask.
Do not use the eye mask without ovate disks since the high temperature could burn the skin.
To activate the mask act on the two metal discs inserted in the openings of the mask to make them snap. With both hands hold the single disc and "fold it" until it snaps with a "click". The liquid orange content solidifies and heats up. Massage the orange liquid to uniform the temperature on the whole mask making it softer and flexible. The temperature of the heater mask reaches about 45 °C. After about 5 minutes, heat is gradually reduced. Try the temperature on the inner side of the forearm to check if the heat on the skin is pleasant.
Apply the eye mask with the side of the ovate disks on the eyes and place the ribbon around the head. Adjust the tape to make it comfortable. Do not expose your eyes to excessive pressure. Let the pleasant heat released by the mask act on the eyes for 5-7 minutes.
The cleaning of eyelids is an important phase. Remove the ovat disks from the eye mask, then use the same to massage and clean the eyelid margins as follows: massage from 5 to 10 times the upper eyelid moving from above to bottom on the whole eyelid. Then massage from 5 to 10 times the lower eyelid by moving from the bottom up to the whole eyelid. Finally, clean again the margins of the eyelids with new disks of moistened ovate. Throw the ovatta disks after use.

- In the presence of a squid: use the mask 4-5 times a day. Thanks to the heat, the secretion of the glands of Meibomio becomes more fluid. The delicate massage around the area with a clean finger encourages the expulsion of the sebum from the glands. Do not crush or do not burst a squid but perform a massage in the direction of the eye to favor the slow expulsion of the fluidized sebum to small quantities from the ostruite sebaceous glands. Excrescence therefore tends to gradually shrink.

- In the presence of an orzaiol: use the mask 4-5 times a day to accelerate its maturation. It is not necessary to massage the orzaiolo. Do not try to crush or burst the orzaiol, this could spread the infection in the eyelid.
As soon as the foruncle breaks, the disturbances disappear. However, it may also happen that swelling persists, without causing pain. Subsequently, it tends to stabilize and encapsulate, and then evolve into calatius.

Boiling after use: remove the casing, the elastic band for the head and throw the ovatta disks. Remove the gel bag from the mask and put it in a clean pot (about 2 liters). When the water boils, lower the fire for 10 minutes until it reaches the complete dissolution of all the crystals and bring back the content of the orange gel bag in the liquid state.
Use a foam or a large spoon to immerse the mask in the water and then extract it. Do not use a fork or knife as it may damage it. Remember to set a timer.
After boiling: put the mask on clean kitchen paper and let it cool for 30 minutes.

Cleaning the enclosure: avoid boiling the wrap together with the gel bag or putting it in the dishwasher as the material tends to harden. Remove the elastic tape for the head if it does not need washing. Use a moistened clean cloth with soapy water to clean the wrap for 30 seconds.
To prevent allergic reactions, wash well the casing with hot tap water to eliminate any residues of detergent. Allow to dry in the air, but not so long to allow it to get dirty with powder or food.
After a few hours, dry all parts with clean kitchen paper and check that it is clean.

Components
The POSIFORLID eye mask is a gel mask, containing two metal discs made of phthalate-free PVC and a solution based on sodium acetate, coloring (both food grade) and water.
It does not contain latex or silicone.

Warnings
Do not use the eye mask immediately after boiling it, since it is still too hot and could cause burns. Wait at least half an hour until the eye mask cools at room temperature.
Do not heat the eye mask in the microwave or directly on a heating plate. Direct contact with hot surfaces would damage the mask.
If you need to move from the kitchen area during boiling, always turn off the heat source to prevent water from evaporating completely.
During boiling do not allow the presence of children without the supervision of an adult person.
Do not remove the mask from the water to bare hands. The mask is too hot and could cause burns.
If the heat of the mask is not comfortable for the skin, stop using and wait a few minutes until the mask cools producing a pleasant feeling on the skin. Regularly check the skin under the mask, it should not redden.
Use the mask with caution on children and elderly to prevent it from producing burns on the skin.
Always watch children while using the mask and regularly check under the mask to check skin reactions to heat.
You can cool the mask in the refrigerator, but avoid putting it in the freezer. This could damage the mask.
Do not use the POSIFORLID eye mask if you observe that it is no longer airtight or is damaged. If the gel contained in the mask should accidentally come in contact with the skin, rinse well with soap and water. After contact with eyes or mouth, wash for several minutes with running water. If irritation persists or if the gel enters into contact with the mouth of a child, consult a doctor.
Despite the ingredients of the mask are food grade, the mask is not edible. It is intended exclusively for external use on undamaged skin.
Do not cut or open the mask. Do not sit or lean on the mask as breaks or losses may occur.
Do not use the mask in case of hypersensitivity known to one of the ingredients of the mask.
For hygienic reasons do not reuse the ovat disks and do not share the mask with other people.
Do not boil the mask along with food and prevent it from coming into contact with butter or oil since this could determine the hardening of PVC making it less smooth or soft.
If you do not have time to boil the mask and clean it immediately after use, you can wait. In this case, clean the envelope with a cloth to prevent the soil from drying.
Boil the mask within 24 hours. If preserved in the solid state for too long, the mask could heat too much and the size of the air bubbles could slightly increase.
In the presence of glaucoma do not apply too much pressure on the eyes. Avoid excessively stretching the elastic band or putting the mask on the eyes without using the elastic fastening.
If you have been subjected to glaucoma or cataract surgery for less than a month, carefully massage the upper part of the eyelids. Before using the eye mask POSIFORLID ask for advice to its eye doctor.
Only for external use on integral skin. Do not use it on irritated, itchy, swollen or reddened skin, on open wounds or after surgery on a eyelid.
Wet heat can make certain forms of eczema or rosacea worse. If conditions worsen, consult your doctor.
If you suffer from dermatologic disorders, always consult a doctor before using the mask.
The mask can be used by a single user, not to share among more users.
If your symptoms worsen after a few days, consult your doctor.
In case of unforeseen side effects, consult your doctor and/or pharmacist and report it to the manufacturer or competent local authority.
Keep the eye mask POSIFORLID out of sight and reach of children.
If the heat released is insufficient, the mask should be replaced with a new mask. Although the mask normally tolerates 90 cycles of boiling, it is responsible for those who use it to check that the mask is still in good condition. Do not use the mask in case of doubt. Boil the mask, let it cool at room temperature and contact customer service for support.

Conservation
Store the clean and liquid mask (soft), at room temperature in clean kitchen paper in the original box or in a locker.
Each eye mask can be reused about 90 times.
