Description
Ophthalmic ointment without preservatives that contains, in addition to dexpantenol, also vitamin A and vitamin E.
It is used for long-term improvement of the lacrimal film and for intensive protection of the eye surface. Its cellular protection properties allow normal re-epitelization when this is compromised by dryness.
Thanks to its high viscosity properties, the ophthalmic ointment Kerato VitA covers the surface of the eye as a film, stabilizes the tear film and protects the eye from dryness.
Thanks to its very soft and elastic texture, Kerato VitA is distributed very well on the eye surface. The eyelids run easily on the cornea and on the conjunctiva.
Kerato VitA provides lasting relief from symptoms of dryness, inflammation and slight irritation, in particular:
- for eye dryness;
- in environmental stress;
- in case of fatigue and visual stress caused by prolonged vision;
- in case of mechanical stress.

Mode of use
Wash your hands carefully every time before using Kerato VitA.
Before first use, break the security seal by opening the anti-clockwise protective cap screw cap and remove the security seal film before use.
Keep the tube as vertical as possible, with the opening facing down, above the eye. Avoid any contact of the tip of the tube with your fingers and eye.
Recline now the head slightly backwards and slightly lower the lower eyelid with the free hand. Press slightly on the tube and apply about 0,5 cm of ointment in the joint bag of the affected eye. Slowly close your eyes and move the eye globes in every direction, so that Kerato VitA can spread evenly on the surface of the eyes. After use, close the tube with the protective cap.
Be careful not to touch the tip of the tube. Avoid bending or roasting the tube to avoid damaging it.

Kerato VitA is generally used 3 times a day for long-term improvement of the lacrimal film and for intensive protection of the eye surface.
It is recommended to apply the ointment possibly in the evening before going to bed, so that it can have an intensive and lasting effect on irritated eyes. The application must be continued for a period of at least 30 days.
The ophthalmologist must determine the frequency and duration of the application. If the symptoms persist after this period, contact your ophthalmologist again.
In case of another local eye treatment, contact your ophthalmologist. In general, they need to spend about 30 minutes between the two applications. Kerato VitA must be applied after other products.

Components
Dexpantenol (2%), acetate alpha-tocopherol (vitamin E), palmitate vitamin A, vaseline, paraffin, lanolin, cetilstearilic alcohol, purified water.

Warnings
Only for external use.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Do not use Kerato VitA in case of hypersensitivity (allergy) to one of the components.
Kerato VitA should not be used with contact lenses.
Pregnant and lactating women, children and adolescents should consult their doctor before using Kerato VitA.
Do not use if the tube or safety seal are damaged.
Do not touch the eye with the tip of the tube, to avoid infections or eye injuries.
Do not touch the tip of the tube with other objects or parts of the body.
Do not use ophthalmic ointment after the expiry date, indicated on the tube and on the folding box.
For hygienic reasons, a single tube of Kerato VitA should not be used by multiple patients.
If the eye disorders persist during the use of Kerato VitA or resume after the interruption, consult your ophthalmologist immediately.
Kerato VitA is not suitable as the only treatment for an eye infection. Consult your eye doctor if you suspect an eye infection.
Occasionally, the following side effects were observed when using Kerato VitA: after the application, a temporary compromise of visual acuity may appear (unused vision). In this case, do not drive vehicles and do not operate machinery. It is recommended to wait for the restoration of normal visual acuity.

Conservation
Store at temperatures between +5 °C and +25 °C. Protect from frost and direct sunlight.
Validity of whole packaging: 24 months.
Post-opening validation: three months.
