What is HYLO-COMOD?
HYLO-COMOD is a sterile solution without preservatives containing 1 mg/ml of sodium hyaluronate, a citrate pad, sorbitol and water.

What is HYLO-COMOD used for?
To improve the lubrication of the eye surface in dry eyes, which burn or with a feeling of foreign body presence due to environmental conditions and after ophthalmosurgery.

When to use HYLO-COMOD?
In case of itching, burning or eyes that get tired easily, if you experience the feeling of sand in the eyes, all this could be due to lack of moisture on the eye surface. If you spend a lot of time in environments with air conditioning, for example, or following an intense computer work, the natural tear film that generally covers the eye surface breaks faster. For the health of the eye tissue, it is necessary to lubricate it continuously with a lacrimal film.

Due to surgical interventions in the eyes or following eye injury, the physiological secretion of tears can be reduced. However, for the regeneration of surface tissues of the eye, adequate and continuous lubrication is required. The application of HYLO-COMOD provides long-lasting moisture to cornea and conjunctiva so that the physiological healing process is effectively supported.

HYLO-COMOD contains hyaluronic acid sodium salt, a natural substance present within the eye but also in other parts of the body. Thanks to its special physical properties, it forms a continuous wet lubricant film, stable and long-lasting on the eye surface that is not easily eliminated. However, this film does not cause sight fog and protects long eyes from dryness and irritation.

This is especially important if contact lenses are used, since, in order not to cause any discomfort, the latter must be immersed in sufficient tear fluid. You can use HYLO-COMOD while wearing slow contact. The use of hard or soft contact lenses will be more comfortable if you use HYLO-COMOD because it does not create cracks or residues.
HYLO-COMOD is free of preservatives, therefore it is generally well tolerated. Moreover, HYLO-COMOD does not contain phosphates, thus avoiding complications such as residues in the cornea.
The commercial COMOD system releases 10 ml of solution equivalent to about 300 drops. For technical reasons, finished the liquid, a small amount remains in the bottle.
You can use HYLO-COMOD for an unlimited period of time.
The HYLO-COMOD bottle is strictly personal and does not allow other people to use it.

How to apply HYLO-COMOD?

Figure 2: before the first application, flip the bottle with the dropper down and press on the bottom of the bottle to get the first drop out of the dropper. The bottle is now ready for use for subsequent applications. Maintain the overturned bottle by placing the thumb on the top of the bottle and the other fingers on the bottom of the bottle.

What other information is necessary to know?
If you use other collieries, you need to spend at least 30 minutes between applications and HYLOCOMOD must always be used last. Instead, any ophthalmic ointments must always be applied after use of HYLO-COMOD.
Since it does not contain preservatives, HYLO-COMOD is well tolerated even if used for a long time. In very rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions such as burning or excessive tearing occurred which immediately ended with the suspension of the use of HYLO-COMOD.
HYLO-COMOD can be used in paediatric, pregnant and nursing age.

Frequency and duration of use of HYLO-COMOD
Use HYLO-COMOD in accordance with the instructions provided by your physician or specialist who has prescribed contact lenses. Generally, you apply a drop of HYLO-COMOD three times a day in each eye. If necessary, use the product with multiple frequency. In case of more frequent use of HYLO-COMOD (for example more than 10 times a day), contact the ophthalmologist. HYLO-COMOD is suitable for long-term treatments. As with all problems, consult the ophthalmologist if these persist.

When not to use HYLO-COMOD?
Do not use HYLO-COMOD in case of hypersensitivity to one of the excipients.

HYLO-COMOD conservation information
Store at room temperature.
You can use HYLO-COMOD for 6 months after opening.
Do not use after the expiry date.
