Therapeutic indications

Syntomatic treatment of dry eye syndrome.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any of the excipients. Generally contraindicated during pregnancy and nursing (see p. 4.6) Multi-dose packaging: For the presence of Benzalconio chloride the use of the product is contraindicated in the carriers of soft contact lenses.

Population

Apply in the eye 1 drop of eye drops up to 6 times a day. The eye drops should be used. Applying the drops prevent the end of the container from contacting the eye or any other surface. Single-dose packaging: Before use make sure that the single-dose container is intact. The product should be used only immediately after opening. Any residue must not be reused. Multi-dose packaging: The product should not be used for treatment periods greater than one month.

Conservation

Packaging: It does not require special precautions for conservation. Avoid exposure to light and heat sources. Multi-dose packaging: Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C

Warnings

Avoid the contemporary use of Hydrastil and other cleansing or disinfecting eye solutions.

No notes.

Effects

Allergic manifestations such as inflammation of the eyelids, conjunctiva, itching, burning, redness, increased tearing or superficial keratin may arise during treatment. These side effects are generally transient.

Overdosing

No overdose cases have been reported.

There are no adequate and well-controlled studies on the use of pregnant or nursing medicine. Therefore the medicine should be used only if the expected benefit for the mother is higher than the risk for the fetus.
