Description
Hylo Dual Intense is a sterile solution without preservatives for ophthalmic use. It is used for intensive therapeutic lubrication of the dry eye surface and for stabilization of the lacrimal film. It relieves inflammatory symptoms such as itching and burning.
Burning and itching in the eyes, tearing, feeling of foreign body in the eyes or dryness are symptoms of an irritated eye. Often these signs indicate that the eye is not sufficiently hydrated. Thanks to the dual mechanism of action of sodium hyaluronate and ectoine, the application of Hylo Dul Intense, in these cases, has particular benefit. The product contains sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance present in many organs of the human body, even in the eye. It possesses the particular physical characteristic of forming a uniform, stable and long-lasting moistening film that is not easily eliminated after rinse. Thanks to these bioadhesive characteristics, cornea and conjunctiva are protected and guarantee, together with natural tears, a better slipping of the eyelid on the eye. Hylo Dual Intense has a particularly high content of sodium hyaluronate, which gives it high viscosity. The eye is thus endowed with a particularly intensive moistening film and for a prolonged period of time. Persistent or severe disturbances are relieved and the eye is protected against further irritation. Ectoin is a natural substance extracted from microorganisms that live in extreme environments (such as salt lakes). To protect themselves from extreme environmental factors, these microorganisms produce ectoin, a natural substance whose special properties are used in Hylo Dual Intense. Ectoin increases water adherence to the cells of the eye area, thus creating a physiological barrier on the conjunctiva. At the same time, ectoin stabilizes the fat-soluble portion of the tear film, which protects against excessive evaporation of tears. Thanks to the interaction between sodium hyaluronate and ectoin, a dense moistening film is created on the eye that protects against the evaporation of tears for a long period of time. Hylo Dual Intense relieves typical inflammatory symptoms such as itching and burning caused by environmental irritating factors.

Mode of use
Remove the cap before use. To remove the cap, hold it steady with one hand and with the other, rotate the bottle bringing it down. Before the first application of Hylo Dual Intense, turn the bottle with the dropper down and press on the bottom of the bottle to get the first drop out of the dropper. The bottle is now ready for use for subsequent applications. Maintain the overturned bottle by placing the thumb on the top of the bottle and the other fingers on the bottom of the bottle. Support with the free hand the hand holding the bottle made with the Comod technique. Slightly bend the head backwards, with the free hand gently pull the lower eyelid down and press quickly and energetically on the bottom of the bottle. Thus the mechanism for the release of a drop is activated. Thanks to the special mechanism of valves of the Comod system, the size and velocity of exit of a drop are always the same, regardless of the applied pressure. Slowly close your eyes to allow the fluid to spread evenly on the eye surface. After use, immediately close the bottle with the cap, ensuring that there is no liquid residue on the dropper. During instillation avoid any contact between the dropper of the bottle with the eye or with the skin of the face.
The Comod system releases 10 ml of solution, equivalent to about 300 drops. For technical reasons, a small amount of solution remains always in the bottle at the end of use. The use of Hylo Dual Intense has no limited duration.
Hylo Dual Intense must be used according to these instructions for use or in individual cases, according to the instructions of your physician. In general, for adults and children over 6 years, 1 drop of Hylo Dual Intense is applied 3 times a day in the joint sack of each eye.
During pregnancy and nursing and children under 12 years Hylo Dual Intense should not be administered more than 10 times a day.

Components
1 ml of Hylo Dual Intense contains 2 mg of sodium hyaluronate, 20 mg of ectoin, boric acid, borace and water for injectable preparations.

Warnings
Use only if the external packaging is sealed and intact before use.
The bottle should be intended for the treatment of one person.
If you use any other colliery, wait at least 30 minutes between the applications and always use Hylo Dual Intense last. Ophthalmic ointments, however, should not be used when using Hylo Dual Intense.
As Hylo Dual Intense eye drops do not contain preservatives, a long-term treatment is particularly well tolerated. In rare cases hypersensitivity reactions (burn, excessive tearing) have been observed, but they disappear immediately by interrupting the administration of Hylo Dual Intense.
Hylo Dual Intense cannot be used while wearing contact lenses: in the face of the viscosity of the preparation, the application of the product can follow a transitory discharging of the sight.
Information about the use of Hylo Dual Intense in pediatric age or during pregnancy and breastfeeding is currently not available. Based on current Hylo Dual Intense knowledge, it can be used in children over 6 years or during pregnancy and nursing.
Hylo Dual Intense is suitable for long-lasting use; however, as in the case of any other affection, if the disturbances persist (e.g. more than two weeks), it is recommended to consult an ophthalmologist.
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity ascertained to one of the components and children under 6 years.
If you should use Hylo Dual Intense more frequently (e.g. more than 10 times a day) and in case of more severe disturbances, you should contact an ophthalmologist to be examined regularly.
Do not use when wearing contact lenses.
Do not use after the expiry date.
Keep out of reach of children.

Conservation
Store at a temperature below 25 °C.
