Description
Sterile solution without preservatives for ophthalmic use. Hylo Dual moisturizes the cornea and conjunctiva and protects against excessive evaporation of tears. This stabilization of the lacrimal film soothes the irritations of the eyes associated with inflammatory symptoms or caused by allergies and makes disappear the feeling of burning and itching in the eyes.
Burning and itching in the eyes, tearing, feeling of foreign body in the eyes or dryness are symptoms of an irritated eye. Often these signs indicate that the eye is not sufficiently hydrated. Another of the causes could be hypersensitivity to certain substances (e.g. pollen, animal hair or domestic powder), or so-called allergies. Because allergies occur with the same disturbances, it is difficult to distinguish between a dry eye and an irritated eye due to an allergy. In these cases, Hylo Dual offers special advantages thanks to its double mechanism of action due to sodium and ectoin hyaluronate. Hylo Dual contains sodium hyaluronate, a natural substance found in the eye and other parts of the body. Hyaluronate sodium has the unique physical characteristic of forming on the surface of the eye a uniform, stable and long lasting moistening film that is not quickly eliminated. Ectoin is a natural substance extracted from microorganisms that live in extreme environments (such as salt lakes). To protect themselves from extreme environmental factors, these microorganisms produce ectoin, a natural substance whose special properties are used in Hylo Dual. Ectoin increases water adherence to the cells of the eye surface, thus creating a physiological barrier for allergens on the conjunctiva. At the same time, ectoin stabilizes the liposoluble portion of the lacrimal film, which protects against excessive evaporation of tears. Thanks to the interaction between sodium hyaluronate and ectoin, a dense film of long-lasting humidity is created on the eye, which protects it from the evaporation of tears. In this way Hylo Dual relieves inflammatory symptoms and typical symptoms of allergic reactions, such as burning and itching caused by environmental irritations.

Composition
1 ml of Hylo Dual contains 0.5 mg of sodium hyaluronate, 20 mg of ectoin, boric acid, borax and water for injectable preparations.
Use Hylo Dual only if the external packing is sealed and intact before use.
(1) Remove the cap before use. to remove the cap, hold it steady with one hand and with the other, rotate the bottle bringing it down. Before the first application of Hylo Dual flip the bottle with the dropper down and press on the bottom of the bottle to get the first drop out of the dropper. The bottle is now ready for use for subsequent applications.
(2) Maintain the overturned bottle by placing the thumb on the top of the bottle and the other fingers on the bottom of the bottle.
(3) Support with the hand frees the hand holding the bottle made with the COMOD technique.
(4) Fold slightly the head backwards, with the free hand gently pull the lower eyelid down and press quickly and energetically on the bottom of the bottle. Thus the mechanism for the release of a drop is activated. Thanks to the special COMOD system valve mechanism, the size and output speed of a drop are always the same, regardless of the applied pressure. Slowly close your eyes to allow the fluid to spread evenly on the eye surface.
5) After use, immediately close the bottle with the cap, ensuring that there is no liquid residue on the dropper. During instillation avoid any contact between the dropper of the bottle with the eye or with the skin of the face. The COMOD system releases 10 ml of solution, equivalent to about 300 drops. For technical reasons, a small amount of solution remains always in the bottle at the end of use. The use of Hylo Dual does not have a limited duration. Hylo Dual bottle should be used to treat one person.
If you use any other colliery, wait at least 30 minutes between the applications and always use Hylo Dual last. Ophthalmic ointments, however, should always be applied after Hylo Dual. As Hylo Dual eye drops do not contain preservatives, a long-term treatment is particularly well tolerated. In rare cases hypersensitivity reactions (burn, excessive tearing) have been observed, but they disappear immediately by interrupting the administration of Hylo Dual. Hylo Dual can also be used when wearing contact lenses. After the application of contact lenses we recommend to wait about 30 minutes before applying eye drops in order to avoid possible intolerance reactions that could be caused by interactions between contact lens cleaners and Hylo Dual. There is currently no information on the use of the product during pregnancy and nursing. If you are pregnant, you are breastfeeding or may be pregnant, consult your physician or pharmacist before using Hylo Dual.
Hylo Dual must be administered according to the recommendations of its ophthalmologist. In general for adults and children from 6 years up 1 drop of Hylo Dual 3 times a day in the joint sack of each eye. If you should use Hylo Dual more frequently (e.g. more than 10 times a day) and in case of more severe disturbances, you should contact an ophthalmologist to be examined regularly. Hylo Dual is suitable for long-term use; however, as in the case of any other affection, if the disturbances persist (e.g. more than two weeks) it is strongly recommended to consult an ophthalmologist.

Warnings
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity ascertained to one of the components and children under 6 years.

Conservation
Do not store at temperature above 25°C.
Hylo Dual can be used for 6 months after opening.
Do not use after the expiry date.
Validity of whole packaging: 36 months.
