Triple reading ochials, made with aspherical lenses and flexible axins in anallergical metal.
The focal points of both lenses are aligned on the same axis and the interpupillar distance is between 58 and 64 mm. The diopters of the two lenses have the same dioptric power. In order to correctly assess the extent and nature of a visual defect, the prior examination of the view by a qualified professional is necessary. The pre-assembled glasses for presbyopia, built industrially with lenses of identical dioptric power, are indicated exclusively for the correction of the “simple presbyopia”. Presbyopia is characterized by a physiological and progressive weakening of the view that is typically manifested, after 45 years with a series of disorders such as difficulty of reading the newspaper or distinguishing well from close to small objects. Presbyopia is considered simple when for the correction of the visual defect, both eyes need the same number of corrective diopters (the diopters are the unit of measurement of visual capacity). The pre-assembled glasses are indicated only for close viewing and should not be used for driving, or for viewing from afar, or for eye protection. Improper use or use of a wrong gradation of glasses can be caused by various vision disorders, with possible headache. In this case, ophthalmological control is required. Only the ophthalmologist can assess the health of the eyes and the extent of visual disturbances. Preassembled glasses for presbyopia do not improve vision in case of eye diseases, such as cataracts or macular degenerations. The pre-assembled glasses for presbyopia should not be used in case of “a complex presbyopia” or in the presence of astigmatism or anisometropia or when the number of diopters in each eye is different. Astigmatism is a defect of sight due to irregular curvature of the cornea that determines a vision of blurred and deformed images while anisometropia is characterized by a different vice of refraction in the two eyes.
