Cavilon

Medical device CE, class I non sterile. Barrier cream for long duration. It protects the skin from body fluids at risk of damage associated with incontinence and related symptoms (anal injury). It can also be used to hydrate and nourish dehydrated skin. The product can be safely used on the skin integrated or injured, for example in the presence of damage associated with incontinence.

Technical characteristics
Hypoallergenic cream concentrated at balanced pH, forms a waterproof barrier, resists washing does not reduce the adhesion of patches and adhesion medications. It does not contain oilate, zinc oxide, perfume and parabens. The product does not contain natural rubber latex, nor natural rubber processed.

Components
Water; diisoctil adipato; acrylic terpolymer; coconut oil; stearil etere PPG (15); glycerine; isopropyl palmite; paraffin oil; trimethylsiloxisilicate; paraffin; dimeticons; phenoxyethanol; benzoic acid; dehydroacetic acid; magnesium sulphate.

Application techniques
1. Before application the skin must be clean and dry.
2. Apply with rotary movement a thin layer of product on the entire area to be treated.
3. whether 3M Cavilon Long-Term Barrier Cream is applied on an area with cutaneous props, make sure that these areas are separated to allow the skin to dry before applying the product.
4. It is recommended to apply to hygiene in the morning and to change in the evening.
5. A small amount (a coin of 5 cents, equal to about 1 gram of product) is sufficient for the entire sacred area. In case of need you can apply the product more frequently. An eventual feeling of uncleanness on the skin indicates that an excessive amount of product has been applied.

Conservation
Store the product at room temperature (15°-30°C). Avoid exposure to excessive heat or moisture. The period of validity shall be 2 years from the date of production, provided the product is properly preserved. The expiration date is stamped and clearly visible on each sales package.

Warnings
Only for external use. Avoid contact with eyes. If the conditions of the skin worsen or show no signs of improvement within 7 days from the beginning of the treatment, contact a doctor. Keep out of reach of children. In case of ingestion, contact a doctor. Do not apply on subjects of which allergy or hypersensitivity to components is known.

Precautions
Make sure the product is completely dried before applying diapers or clothes. The use of other barrier products such as ointments, creams or lotions could significantly reduce its effectiveness.
