Destination
These products are designed to be inserted into the ear canal to help reduce exposure from dangerous noise levels and strong sounds.

Attention
• Always make sure the complete product is:
- suitable for application;
- worn correctly;
- worn throughout the exposure period;
- replaced when necessary.

• The earring inserts with a cord should not be used when there is the possibility that the cord remains entangled during use.
• An appropriate selection, training, use and proper maintenance are essential to ensure the user with adequate noise protection.
• Failure to apply all instructions relating to this product pre-personal protection and/or failure to use this product throughout the exposure period may result in negative consequences for the health of the user and cause serious illness or permanent invalidity.
• Read all usage instructions and keep them as a continuous reference.

Instruction for wear
Before wearing the inserts, check the integrity of the product and make sure it is not damaged or torn.
If you notice any damage, immediately replace the product with a new pair.
Wash your hands before wearing the ear inserts.
Always wear ear inserts before accessing a noise-safe area.
1. Roll the insert until you get a well compressed cylinder.
2. Grab the headset with the opposite hand and pull the top to open the ear canal.
3. Thread the tapered insert inside the headset, simultaneously pulling the headset out and upward.
Keep in place until the insert expands again.

Verification of the seal
When the inserts have been correctly inserted, your voice must be ovated and the surrounding sounds attuted compared to before.
Check often wear during the exposure to noise.
If the inserts had to loosen, the actual protection offered against dangerous noises could be significantly lower.
To re-enter them, follow the steps 1-3 above described.

Note
The size and shape of the ear canal is unique for each person.
If you can't wear these earphone inserts properly and you can't reach the right comfort, contact your security manager or representative 3M for further advice.

Cordicella (where present): Recycled PVC.

Cleaning instructions
These inserts are disposable and must be replaced after use.
Consult the packaging for more information.
For transport use the original packaging.
Replace the product within 5 years from the date of production or immediately if damaged.

These products meet the safety requirements of European Directive 89/686/EEC (Directive of Individual Protection Devices) and for this they report CE marking.
