Insupen pen needles are equipped with the Pic needle, result of the “indolor experience” (indolor technology).
Thanks to their reduced external diameter, thin walls and lubricant treatment, the pen needles of the Insupen range allow a comfortable injection.

33G Gentle: the smallest pen needle ever made by Pic. The thinner of the range, with a real external diameter of 0.20mm and 4mm long. Its thin walls allow ease of penetration and high flow capacity, thus offering the diabetic patient an almost imperceptible treatment. The 33G pen needle allows a simple injection.
Technical characteristics of the range:
- Triple trimming to facilitate penetration in the skin and reduce the feeling of pain.
- Lubricant treatments to reduce needle resistance to penetration.
- The wider inner diameter (Thin Wall) allows you to speed up the insulin flow and thus reduce the time for injection.
- The tip intended to penetrate the insulin cartridge cap is also processed with an anti- friction treatment called “anti-coring” which facilitates the insertion of the needle into the cap reducing the release of fragments inside the cartridge itself.
IMPORTANT:
The pen needle is a disposable sterile device, so it has to be changed to each injection, because you risk:
- don't have an accurate dosage. If you leave the needle mounted on the pen, between one injection and the other, you can alter the composition of the insulin;
- air into the cartridge through the needle. Air bubbles reduce the regular insulin flow during injection, resulting in the risk of reduced drug administration;
- crystallize insulin. If you leave the needle mounted, the insulin left inside the pen can turn into crystals and completely or partially fill the needle, causing difficulties or impossibility to effect the injection;
- contracting infections. Once used, in fact, the pen needle lost its sterility;
- have a more painful injection. During the injection, the lubricant, placed above the needle, is removed completely and the tip of the needle undergoes a progressive deformation losing its original shape.
Insupen pen needles comply with Type A EN ISO 11608-2:2000 and therefore compatible with all insulin pens that comply with this standard.
