Reactive strips

Bioseven LineaD Strips Evo can only be used in combination with the LineaD Evo glucometer.
LineaD blood glucose monitoring system Evo finds application in in vitro diagnosis (extracorporeal application). It is indicated for the control of blood glucose in the whole capillary blood, taken from finger, palm or forearm. The system guarantees the results of the capillary blood superimposable to those determined by laboratory instruments.

Test procedure
Punched pen preparation.
1) Grab the cap with adjustable depth with one hand and the other the main body. Fold the cap down. To separate the cap from the main body, pull the two in the opposite direction.
2) Extract the cap with adjustable depth.
3) Insert a new disposable hand and fix it in the support.
4) Unscrew and set aside the disposable hand protective cover.
5) Reposition the cap with adjustable depth.
6) Choose the penetration depth by turning the top of the cap with adjustable depth until the adjustable depth does not match the window. The settings depend on the skin type.
7) Keep the device with one hand and the piston with the other. The device is ready. Released, the piston will return to its original position.

Test preparation
1) Wash your hands with soap and dry them thoroughly.
2) Take a strip from the bottle and close it immediately.
3) Insert the reactive strip into the appropriate slot on the meter with the indicator upwards.
4) When the drop symbol flashes, apply the blood sample within 2 minutes.
5) Put the pen on the fingertip and release the mechanism according to the instructions. It is also possible to take blood from the palm or from the forearm.

Test result
- Test results are indicated on the meter in mg/dL.
- If the result has unusual values (too high or too low) or not corresponding to reality, repeat the test with a new reactive strip. You can also check the system using the Bioseven LineaD control solution. If the resulting values are still too high or too low, consult your physician immediately.
- If you accuse symptoms that do not correspond to the results of the blood glucose test and you are sure to have followed these instructions for use, contact your physician immediately or follow his therapeutic instructions.
- LineaD Meter Evo displays results between 10 and 600 mg/dL or 0.6 and 33,3 mmol/L If the test result is less than 10 mg/dL or 0.6 mmol/L, the screen will appear Lo. Repeat the test with a new reactive strip. If the result is still Lo, consult your doctor or proceed according to your instructions.
- If the test result is higher than 600 mg/dL or 33.3 mmol/L, Hi will appear on the screen. Repeat the test with a new reactive strip. If the result is still Hi, consult your doctor or follow your therapeutic indications.

Precautionary measures
- Check the expiration date of the reactive strips before each measure. Do not use expired strips in any case.
- Close the box immediately and completely after extracting a reactive strip.
- Do not carry out any system verification with an expired control solution.
- Don't bend or twist the reactive strips. Damaged strips could distort the results.
- Never use reactive strips and hands more than once.
- Wait at least 30 minutes before running a test in case the device has been taken to the measuring place by an environment with a great temperature difference.

Warning
Keep the strips and cover of the package out of the reach of children. The interference of these elements could in fact cause suffocation. In case of ingesting a strip or lid, consult your doctor immediately.

Conservation and treatment
- Store strips in the original bottle well closed at temperatures between 4°C and 30°C (39 - 86°F) and relative humidity less than 90%.
- Don't freeze.
- Close the bottle immediately after extracting the reactive strips. Don't leave the bottle open. If exposed to the air for an excessive period, the strips absorb moisture, causing false results.
- When you open a new bottle of reactive strips, note the opening date on the label. Use the reactive strips within 3 months of the first opening or within the expiry date indicated on the label (what occurs first).

Reagent
Each reactive strip for blood sugar LineaD Evo contains the following reactants:
Glucose oxidase (Aspergillus niger) (GOD): 14.8%
Potassium Ferricianur: 39.5%
Non-reactive components: 45.7%.

Format
Pack of 25 and 50 strips.
