0.3 g powder sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, colloidal silica, apricot aroma 1:200, sucrose, sodium saccharin. Granulated by 1.5 g sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, colloidal silica, apricot aroma 1:200, sucrose, sodium saccharin. 20 mg/ml syrup hydroxide sodium, p-hydroxybenzoate methyl, chloride sodium, caramel aroma, sucrose, sweet orange essence, purified water. 50 mg/ml syrup hydroxide sodium, p-hydroxybenzoate methyl, chloride sodium, caramel aroma, sucrose, sweet orange essence, purified water.

Therapeutic indications

Mucolitic, fluidizing in the affections of the acute and chronic respiratory system.

Contraindications

The drug is contraindicated in children under 2 years of age. Gastrointestinal ulcer. Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any of the excipients listed in paragraph 6.1.

Population

Polver from 0.3 g: the average recommended dose is half - a sachet 2 times a day (children above 2 years of age) and a sachet 3 - 4 times a day (adults). Granulated by 1.5 g: Adults: the average recommended dose is 2 times a day, morning and evening. Duration of recommended treatment: - acute affections of the respiratory tract: from 8 to 10 days; - chronic and recurring affections: 10 days to 3 weeks, several times a year. Melt the contents of the sachet in half a glass of water mixing with a teaspoon. 20 mg/ml syrup: Children between two and five years: 1 teaspoon coffee 1-2 times a day. Children over 5 years: 1 teaspoon coffee 2-3 times a day in relation to age. 50 mg/ml syrup: Adults: 2-3 tablespoons per day. The above doses can be increased according to the doctor. Duration of recommended treatment: - acute affections of the respiratory tract: from 8 to 10 days; - chronic and recurring affections: 10 days to 3 weeks, several times a year. Do not exceed the recommended doses.

Conservation

Store at a temperature below 25° C.Conservare in the original packaging to protect the medicine from moisture.

Warnings

Mucolitics may induce bronchial obstruction in children under 2 years of age. In fact, the drainage capacity of the bronchial mucus is limited in this age range, due to the physiological characteristics of the respiratory tract. They must not be used in children under 2 years of age (see paragraph 4.3). The increase in the expectorate, which has been observed since the early days and shows the lysis of pathological secretions, is quickly attenuated. The product contains sucrose, keep in mind in case of diabetes or hypocaloric diets. Clinical trial has shown that there are no special precautions of use of Mucotreis in various pharmaceutical forms.

Interactions

They are not known, at the present state of knowledge, nor incompatibility between the administration of carbocysteine and the most common drugs of use in the treatment of the diseases of the upper and lower airways, nor with foods or laboratory tests.

Effects

Digestive phenomena may occur: gastralgies, nausea, dizziness, diarrhea. In this case it is necessary to reduce posology. Bronchial obstruction: unknown frequency.

Overdosing

Carbocysteine acute poisoning has never been reported. Symptoms could be detected by the gastroenteric apparatus. Removal of the noxa: cause vomiting and possibly practicing gastric lavender.

Based on preclinical studies, data has not emerged that can contraindicate the use of Mucotreis during pregnancy and during breastfeeding. However, in precautionary terms, we do not recommend the use in the first trimester of pregnancy, while it is to be used under medical supervision and only if necessary during the same period
