Description
HERPOtherm is a patented medical device for topical treatment of symptoms associated with herpes (Herpes simplex labialis), such as itching, burning, tingling or sensitivity. If used promptly, HERPOtherm can generally prevent the formation of herpes vesicles. In case of subsequent use, it can facilitate a lighter or faster course. The first signs of the appearance of herpes, the so-called prodromic symptoms, can generally be itching, burning, tingling or sensitivity.
It acts solely by virtue of concentrated heat and is therefore devoid of any chemical substance. HERPOtherm is therefore also indicated for pregnant women, allergic people and children. The use of concentrated heat (local hyperthermia) is a physical action principle, based on the short and concentrated application of a heat source on a confined skin area. The only localized heat application can in fact be sufficient to relieve symptoms such as itching, burning, tingling or sensitivity, or generally to prevent the formation of herpes vesicles, if practiced promptly.

Mode of use
Remove the protective cap from the device. Place the device with the ceramic contact surface on the affected skin area by exerting a slight pressure. Press the button. The ceramic contact surface warms up to a temperature of about 51 °C. Adding the temperature, the LED lights up. When the LED switches off at the end of the application duration of 3 seconds, it automatically ceases treatment. At the beginning of the heating phase and at the end of the treatment, the device emits an additional acoustic signal. Put the protective cap on the device.
In case of persistent or recurring symptoms, it is possible to treat several times a same skin area. Observe a break of at least 2 minutes between one application and the other. Do not exceed more than 5 applications per hour on the same skin area.

Cleaning instructions: the ceramic contact surface of the device can be easily cleaned with a common disinfectant wipe available on the market containing alcohol, while for cleaning all other external surfaces it is sufficient, for example, a clean cloth.

To replace the battery remove the protective cap and the battery cap and re-enter them once the new battery is placed.
When battery replacement is required, the LED flashes three times, with contemporary triple acoustic signaling.
Do not use rechargeable batteries.

Warnings
Indicated exclusively for self-application by adults and adolescents since 12 years. Use in children under 12 years is allowed only with the assistance of an adult. To prevent virus transmission and hygienic issues HERPOtherm must always be used by one person. Herpes is a viral pathology caused by herpes simplex virus. The transmission takes place through infectious droplets dispersed in the air, by direct contact or by contaminated objects. There is no definitive cure for herpes simplex virus infection.

Do not use in case of or on:
– eyes and eyelids;
– mucosa;
– open wounds, loose skin (e.g., open vesicles);
– burns or burns of skin;
– jealouss;
– neuropathy of small fibers, allodine, hyperalgesia;
– tumors and malignant alterations of the skin;
– subjects with reduced sensitivity due to physical disorders or medical conditions;
– sensitive or poorly sprayed skin areas.

Consult your doctor in case of persistent discomfort associated with the use of HERPOtherm or worsening of discomforts associated with the use of HERPOtherm. Do not use the product until the causes of discomfort are clarified.

The device should not be used immediately after the application of pomates, creams, lotions, etc. on the affected area and on the wet skin.

Depending on the individual sensitivity, the treatment temperature may be unpleasant.
In sensitive people it is possible to observe a short redness of skin after use. In rare cases, the application can cause skin irritation in subjects with sensitive skin.
In case of device malfunction, the LED flashes five times and an acoustic alarm is repeated five times. Such an eventuality occurs in the event of incorrect application, i.e. when the device is activated and run in the air instead of on the skin. If the error report appears repeatedly despite the correct use, contact the manufacturer or distributor.
Do not use the device in case of obvious damage or malfunction. Do not use damaged or humid batteries. Protect the device from moisture.
To prevent any damage to HERPOtherm, it is recommended to remove the battery in case of prolonged inuse (use is required).

Conservation
Keep the device away from direct and dry solar rays.
Do not use the battery over the expiration date indicated on the battery itself.
