Therapeutic indications

Cream and Skin Solution: Skin mycosis caused by dermatophytes, yeasts and molds, also accompanied by infections supported by positive gram bacteria. Ovuli – Vaginal cream: Vulvovaginal mycosis (trichophiton mentagrophytes, epidermophyton, malassetia furfur, candida albicans, nocardia min.

Contraindications

Individual hypersensitivity ascertained to the drug.

Population

Cream and Skin Solution: a morning and evening application in the infected skin areas with light massage. Vaginal cream: an applicator filled with cream every night for two weeks. Vaginal eggs: an ovum in the evening for two weeks. In the case of intertriginous spaces in the humid state (interdigital spaces of the foot, folds of the buttocks) it is advisable to deter with gauze or bandages before the application of ECOMESOL.

No special precaution for conservation.

Interactions

No interactions with other drugs have been reported.

Effects

ECOMESOL is well tolerated at the therapeutic doses indicated, however in particularly sensitive individuals it can cause skin redness, burning and, in some cases, increase itching. Moreover the use of the product, especially if protracted, can give rise to phenomena of sensitization. In case of hypersensitivity reactions it is necessary to stop the treatment and establish a suitable therapy; a similar behaviour must be carried out in case of development of nonsensical microorganisms.

Overdosing

Given the available pharmaceutical forms, intended for topical or vaginal application, acute overdose cases for ingestion are extremely unlikely and so far never reported. In case of accidental ingestion, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea may occur to be treated with symptomatic therapy.

In pregnant women established or presumed, ECOMESOL must be administered in case of actual need under the direct control of the doctor.
